Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 will reach end of support on January 9, 2018. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see. The Quality of Service Packet Scheduler is a Windows platform component that is enabled by default on Windows Vista® and Windows XP computers. It is, however, not enabled by default on Windows 2003 computers.
This scheduler is designed to control the IP traffic for various network services, including Real Time Communications traffic. This component must be installed and enabled if the QoS markings described earlier for audio and video traffic are to be implemented by the IP stack. Below are described the procedures to follow to install the QoS Packet Scheduler in the case it is not present. As mentioned earlier in this document, the QoS Packet Scheduler will mark the outgoing IP packets according to the directives captured in the QOS and FLOWSPEC structures. Click Start, and then click Control Panel. In Classic View, click Network and Sharing Center. Right-click the network entry where you want to enable the QoS Packet Scheduler, and then click Properties.
Click Install. In Select Network Feature, click Service. In Select Network Service, click QoS Packet Scheduler, and then click OK.
For information about enabling QoS marking and the QoS Packet Scheduler service, see the Introduction to Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Technical Reference.
Describe the EXACT process you're going through here. From your screen shot, I don't know exactly what you're trying to do. All right.heres what i did (remember, im using vista) 1.) pressed start 2.) clicked network 3.) clicked network and sharing center (which shows my connection) 4.) clicked 'view status' 5.) clicked properties (which shows what items what my connection is using) 6.) clicked QoS packet scheduler 7.) clicked install 8.) clicked service 9.) message shows up saying i can't install it because i need a digitally signed disk 10.) get frustrated, start ripping my hair out, and blaming those other help sites who say that QoS service is really easy to install! U can retrace my steps on what i did, u'll probably understand the problem i had.
First off, the Windows QoS is mostly useless, so I doubt you're going to accomplish much by enabling it. What problem are you trying to solve? Normally, you want QoS at a choke point, like your router. Im looking for a program that limits bandwidth traffic on my connection. Here's my situation: I got a brother and we each have our own computers. Im trying to play games (which doesn't use alot of bandwidth) and his always downloading music or youtube videos, which takes up ALOT of bandwidth, so i lag like crazy.

I am having trouble disabling/removing QOS Packet Scheduler from my unattended install. According to previous posts on this forum all you need to do is add the following lines to winnt.sif: Components NetOc = On. Disable Quality of Service RSVP HKEYLOCALMACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Services RSVP 'Start'=dword:00000004 This should do the trick although untested by myself, as I don't use it.
I do stop several other services using this method. I know it can be done through the sif but I don't have that info at hand. I take it you're using WXP. If you are using W2K check. EDIT: (about 6 to get it right) Ohh darn. Sorry, your talking about Packet Scheduler.
Qos Packet Scheduler Disable Windows10
In that case, don't bother with the link. And you'd be looking at this registry value.
I need to install QOS Packet Scheduler service on a VPN connection. I'm using the dialogs shown here: On the final step 'select QOS Packet Scheduler from the list' I cannot, because it does not show up as an option. In fact, there is nothing displayed in the dialog. QOS Packet Scheduler is installed as a service on all my other connections. I am just unable to add it to my VPN connection for some reason.
Any idea where exactly it would be located if I tried the 'Have Disk' option to manually install it? Hi, please refer:.
